Description

A delightful combination of chewy brownies and rich chocolate chip cookie dough, these Brookies are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cookie dough (prepared) for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the prepared cookie dough over the brownie batter.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough and swirl slightly.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
