Ingredients
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in raisins or chocolate chips if desired.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
- Let cool before serving.
