Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine the rolled oats, all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in raisins or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
