Description

Delightful Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies that offer a perfect balance of wholesome oats and rich chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, white sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-sugar mixture, blending until fully combined.
  4. Stir in the quick cooking oats and chocolate chips.
  5. Chill the dough in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  7. Scoop and place the dough into round balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 13 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers appear slightly under-baked.
  9. Allow the cookies to sit on the hot baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
