Description
A delightful treat that marries semi-sweet and white chocolate, creating soft and gooey cookies with an artistic marble effect.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture until well blended.
- Divide the dough in half. Mix cocoa powder into one half and leave the other half plain.
- Alternate spoonfuls of each dough onto the prepared baking sheet, swirling gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
- Top each cookie with a few chocolate chips for an added touch of decadence.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
