Description

A delightful treat that marries semi-sweet and white chocolate, creating soft and gooey cookies with an artistic marble effect.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture until well blended.
  5. Divide the dough in half. Mix cocoa powder into one half and leave the other half plain.
  6. Alternate spoonfuls of each dough onto the prepared baking sheet, swirling gently with a knife to create a marble effect.
  7. Top each cookie with a few chocolate chips for an added touch of decadence.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For longer freshness, refrigerate for up to a week or freeze cookies for up to 2 months. Enjoy with a glass of milk or as ice cream sandwiches.
