Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or rounded tablespoon, drop portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden and centers may look slightly underbaked.
- Let them cool on wire racks before serving.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and avoid overbaking. Store cookies in an airtight container.
