Description

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Let cool slightly before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
