Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies that are perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream the softened butter with the brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
- Let cool slightly before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking to improve flavor and reduce spread.
