Ingredients
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix in the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt, folding into the chocolate mixture until just mixed.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the tops are shiny and crinkly. Let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, don’t overmix the dough and chill for 30 minutes if you prefer thicker cookies.
