Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter and mix it with the granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate the eggs and vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and centers are gooey.
- Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3–4 days. Refrigerate for about a week or freeze for up to 2 months.
