Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter and mix it with the granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set and centers are gooey.
  9. Cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
