Description

Delightful bars combining creamy cheesecake with tart apples and sweet caramel, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups diced apples (preferably tart varieties like Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add 1 cup sugar and vanilla, then beat until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating just until blended after each addition.
  5. Stir in the diced apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the baking pan.
  7. Drizzle some caramel sauce over the top, and use a knife to swirl it lightly into the cheesecake mixture.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Allow to cool for at least 2 hours in the fridge.
  10. Cut into bars and serve with additional caramel sauce drizzled on top if desired.

Notes
