Description

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared pie crust
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the honey and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture turns a deep amber color. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, sea salt, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  4. Gradually add the cooled honey mixture to the egg mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the filling is set and the edges are slightly puffed.
  7. Allow the pie to cool before serving.
