Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar together until well combined.
  3. Add in the eggs and the vanilla extract, mixing everything until it’s smooth.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir just until combined; be careful not to over-mix.
