Deliciously chewy blondies infused with the rich, nutty flavor of browned butter and packed with chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter and brown sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
