Description
A giant chocolate chip cookie that is crisp on the edges and chewy in the center, perfect for sharing and customizing with various toppings.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Drop large scoops of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container: Room temperature for up to 4 days, refrigerated for up to a week, or frozen for up to 3 months.
