Description

Classic chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of sweetness and gooey, melting chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, stirring just until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
