A delightful recipe for classic chocolate chip cookies, combining chewy texture with rich caramel flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups (170g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup (112g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup (100g) packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup (70g) granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (250g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Melt the butter and let it cool, then blend in brown and granulated sugars.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, mix until smooth.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown on the edges.
- Optional: Add extra chocolate chips and sea salt halfway through baking.
- Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months.
