Description

Delightfully chewy chocolate chip cookies, delivering rich chocolatey goodness and a perfect chewy texture.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda, then set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and light-brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
  4. Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs to the mixture, and beat until combined.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced well apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container for 3-4 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months. Chill dough for chewier cookies!
