Delightfully chewy chocolate chip cookies, delivering rich chocolatey goodness and a perfect chewy texture.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda, then set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and light-brown sugar until light and fluffy (2-3 minutes).
- Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs to the mixture, and beat until combined.
- Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spaced well apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container for 3-4 days, refrigerate for up to a week, or freeze for up to 2 months. Chill dough for chewier cookies!
