Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
- Add the vanilla and eggs; beat until well combined.
- Gradually beat in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For softer cookies, store in an airtight container at room temperature. For crisper cookies, allow some air circulation. Cookie dough can be frozen for later baking.
