Description

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar


Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  4. Melt 0.5 cup of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract; mix well.
  6. Add 0.33 cup of cocoa powder, followed by the flour, salt, and baking powder; mix until combined and spread evenly in the pan.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is dry and the edges pull away from the pan.
  8. Cool the brownies in the pan.
  9. Prepare the frosting by mixing 3 tablespoons of softened butter, 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Frost the brownies while still warm.

Store brownies at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for 5-7 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
