Deliciously rich and fudgy brownies that are easy to make and sure to impress.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 0.33 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons butter, softened
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- Gather your ingredients.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
- Melt 0.5 cup of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract; mix well.
- Add 0.33 cup of cocoa powder, followed by the flour, salt, and baking powder; mix until combined and spread evenly in the pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until the top is dry and the edges pull away from the pan.
- Cool the brownies in the pan.
- Prepare the frosting by mixing 3 tablespoons of softened butter, 1 cup of confectioners’ sugar, 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- Frost the brownies while still warm.
Notes
Store brownies at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for 5-7 days. They can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
