Description

Deliciously thick chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and a soft, gooey interior, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 120 grams light brown sugar
  • 30 grams granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 220 grams all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 100 grams chocolate chips (milk or dark)
  • Extra chocolate chips for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar using an electric mixer until creamy (2-3 minutes).
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Add all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda; mix until just absorbed.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours (preferably overnight).
  6. Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
  7. Divide the chilled dough into 12 equal portions, rolling into balls and spacing them on a baking sheet.
  8. Press additional chocolate chips on top before baking.
  9. Bake for about 14 minutes or until golden brown, letting cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough before baking to enhance flavor and prevent spreading.
