Description

Delicious and classic chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of crispy edges and chewy centers.


Ingredients

  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams light brown sugar
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200 grams all-purpose flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 100 grams chocolate chips
  • Extra chocolate chips for decoration


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the unsalted butter and brown sugar until creamy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  3. Gradually add flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips by hand, evenly distributing them through the dough.
  5. Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  6. Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F).
  7. Divide the chilled dough into 16 pieces, rolling them into balls and placing them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown, then let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
