Description
Delicious and classic chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of crispy edges and chewy centers.
Ingredients
- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 150 grams light brown sugar
- 1 medium egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 200 grams all-purpose flour
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 100 grams chocolate chips
- Extra chocolate chips for decoration
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, blend the unsalted butter and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually add flour, salt, and baking soda and mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips by hand, evenly distributing them through the dough.
- Refrigerate the dough for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 170 °C (340 °F).
- Divide the chilled dough into 16 pieces, rolling them into balls and placing them on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until golden brown, then let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
Store cookies at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
