Description

A delightful dessert combining cake-like cobbler with the warm flavors of ripe bananas, perfect for cozy moments.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (113g), melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (120g)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (200g)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk (240ml)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • ½ cup packed light brown sugar (100g)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish, tilting to spread evenly.

  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish without stirring.
  4. Evenly distribute the sliced bananas over the batter.
  5. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the bananas and batter. Add nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Bake for 35–45 minutes until golden brown and bubbling. Test doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Best served warm.
